Setting sudo
- Run from root
visudo
- At the end of the string 'root ALL=(ALL) ALL' hit Insert and append
USERNAME ALL=(ALL) ALL
- Hit 'Insert' and 'wq'
Installing Steam
- Add personal repo:
urpmi.addmedia akdengi_personal http://abf.rosalinux.ru/downloads/akdengi_personal/repository/rosa2012.1/i586/main/release
- Install t he package (32-bit only!)
urpmi steam-valve
Running Steam
- If you don't have a test account, type:
steamhack
otherwise
steam
The package should update itself automatically to the latest version available
System requirements
- A must have: Intel or AMD/ATI/NVIDIA videocard with latest supported drivers (X-Server 13 is reccomended).
- The Steam support has been tested in ROSA Desktop.Fresh 2012
Troubleshouting
In case of problems is reccommended to delete /home/user/.local/share/Steam and run the above steps again.
